Islamabad:The Islamic Military Alliance for Counter-Terrorism will hold a significant academic conference titled “Combating Terrorism Through Digital Technology: A Vision for the Future” on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The event will take place at the Alliance’s headquarters in Riyadh.
Scholars, journalists, and researchers from member countries of the Islamic Alliance are expected to attend, along with representatives from the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Center and other global organizations.
Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughidi, Secretary-General of the Alliance, stated that this conference is part of efforts to strengthen academic preparations against terrorism and extremism. Discussions will focus on the role of digital technology and how modern research centers can counter extremist ideologies.
A key component of the conference will address the financing of terrorism and related legislation, with an emphasis on discussing modern strategies. Additionally, the conference will facilitate cooperation and the exchange of best practices among member countries to enhance international counter-terrorism efforts.
