Islamabad High Court Reserves Verdict on PTI Founder Imran Khan’s Request for Meetings with Party Leaders

The Islamabad High Court has reserved its verdict on a petition filed by the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, regarding the refusal to allow scheduled meetings with party leaders on Thursday.
The hearing of the petition was conducted by Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas, with Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, presenting the case in court.
Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry informed the court that the Chief Justice and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq had already issued orders concerning jail visits. A notice had also been issued to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, and a response was sought.
He further stated that there was an order for a meeting between Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, and that in March 2024, an agreement was made with Adiala Jail authorities to allow meetings with family and lawyers on Tuesdays, while friends could meet on Thursdays.
During the proceedings, Justice Inam Amin Minhas remarked that there is an order in place, along with an objection from the Registrar’s office.
Faisal Chaudhry clarified that the order dated 6th February had not been implemented, and mentioned that a statement from the Superintendent and the 8th November order also existed in the record.
After hearing the arguments, Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas stated that he would issue a formal order after reviewing the case.
The court has reserved its decision on the request for Imran Khan’s meetings with friends.
