Islamabad High Court Orders Detailed Responses on Missing Brothers’ Case

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has directed the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Interior, and the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad to submit detailed responses regarding the disappearance of two brothers who have been missing for 11 days.

The court issued a written order in the petition seeking the recovery of 38-year-old Saif Ur Rehman Haider and 30-year-old Muhammad Ali, who have been missing since March 19. The court requested the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Interior to respond to the matter and also instructed the IG Islamabad to submit a detailed reply.

The case has been adjourned to April 7, when the court expects all parties to provide their responses. The Islamabad High Court has given the IG Islamabad 10 days to submit a detailed report, and the Secretary of Defense and Interior have been asked to respond before April 7.

The petition was filed by the mother of the missing brothers, Amina Bashir, and Justice Inam Amin Minhas issued the written order. During the proceedings, the IG Islamabad requested additional time, explaining that some departmental reports were still pending, and a final conclusion could not be drawn until all the reports were received.

Lawyers Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha are representing the case. The court emphasized that the responses from the Secretary of Defense and Interior are necessary after receiving the IG’s report.

Saif Ur Rehman Haider and Muhammad Ali have been missing from Islamabad since March 19, and their mother has urged authorities to take immediate action for their recovery.
