Islamabad:The Islamabad High Court has approved the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) petition with directives to handle the application for permission to protest at the federal capital on July 26.
The court stated that considering administrative laws and judicial observations, a decision regarding the request for protest at F-9 Park or any suitable place should be made by July 29.
Justice Samina Rauf Qazi remarked in the verdict that peaceful protest, adhering to appropriate legal constraints, is everyone’s right, and no political party’s constitutional rights can be revoked due to threats from any other political entity.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had announced postponement of their Islamabad protest originally scheduled for Friday, respecting the judicial order.
