Islamabad High Court Allows Sanam Javed to Return Home, Orders No Arrest Until Thursday
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has granted permission for Sanam Javed to return home and prohibited police from arresting her until Thursday, warning that any utterance by Javed during this period could lead to the court rescinding its order.
According to Express News, Javed’s father approached the Islamabad High Court seeking her release, which was heard by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. Barrister Mian Ali Asghar appeared before the court.
Javed’s father requested immediate release from illegal detention and prohibited any legal action against her. He also appealed to the federal government, FIA, IG Islamabad, and others to declare her detention or abduction illegal.
The Islamabad High Court, while preventing Javed from leaving Islamabad, ordered her to appear before the court at 5:30 PM today, also requesting the IG Islamabad and DIG FIA to attend in person.
At 5:30 PM, the police presented Sanam Javed before the Islamabad High Court, where the IG Islamabad also arrived.
The court ordered Javed to present a complete record of cases against her within a year and allowed her to go home until Thursday, warning that any word spoken by her would result in the court withdrawing its order. She is prohibited from leaving Islamabad jurisdiction until Thursday.
It should be noted that the legal proceedings against Sanam Javed continue after her release. Yesterday, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court had rejected the physical remand request of the FIA, ordering her release.
Upon her release from Gujranwala jail, Islamabad police had arrested her and transferred her to Balochistan police, who were taking her to Quetta. However, the High Court had intervened to prevent her from being taken out of Islamabad.
