Islamabad Foreign Woman Sexual Assault Case Ends with No Evidence
Islamabad:The alleged case of sexual assault involving a foreign woman from Islamabad’s Aabpara area has concluded with no evidence of assault or confirmation of her foreign nationality.
According to police sources, the woman speaks the Pothohari language, and the Belgian embassy has not confirmed her as a Belgian citizen. A medical examination of the woman revealed no signs of sexual assault. Additionally, there is no record of her arrival or departure at any airport in the country.
The woman’s fingerprints are to be verified with NADRA today for identification, as she currently lacks any documentation. Sources also indicate that the woman’s mental state is questionable. An investigation into who restrained and abandoned her, and the underlying motives, is underway. A special committee, led by SSP Operations Arslan Jehanzaib, has been formed to uncover these facts.
The Islamabad Police spokesperson stated that the senior command of the Islamabad Police is overseeing the entire investigation process. The spokesperson requested avoiding speculation about the incident until further details are available.
Yesterday, it was reported that a foreign woman from Belgium was allegedly sexually assaulted for five days by unknown individuals and later abandoned in G-6 area. Police received a call on 15 reporting the incident, and the woman, named Silwa, claimed to have recently arrived in Pakistan only to fall victim to sexual predators. She was transferred to Polyclinic Hospital for a medical check-up.
