Islamabad: Court Rejects Bushra Bibi’s Bail Applications in November 26 Protest Cases

Islamabad:The Islamabad court has rejected three interim bail applications filed by Bushra Bibi in connection with the cases related to the November 26 protest.

Cases were filed against Bushra Bibi following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on November 26. Two cases were registered at the Tarnol police station and one at the Ramna police station. Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka heard the applications for interim bail, during which Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry, filed a request for exemption.

The prosecutor raised an objection, stating that Bushra Bibi had not even submitted her surety bonds. The judge asked the lawyer whether the bonds had been submitted, to which the lawyer replied that the decision regarding the 190 million pound reference is today, and Bushra Bibi needs to go to Adiala Jail.

The judge remarked that the lawyer was not complying with the court’s orders and subsequently dismissed all three of Bushra Bibi’s interim bail applications.
