Investigation Launched After Viral Video of Tissue Papers with Balochistan Assembly Logo
Quetta:A video showing tissue papers with the Balochistan Assembly’s logo went viral on social media, prompting an immediate response from the Secretary of the Balochistan Assembly, Tahir Shah. He swiftly took notice of the issue and formed an investigative team to probe the matter.
The investigation team collected information from the hotel involved, leading to explanatory videos from the hotel owner and supplier. According to the videos, the hotel owner identified the supplier as Shakeel Ahmed. The supplier revealed that tissue boxes bearing the Balochistan Assembly’s logo had been sold at low prices to hotels in Karachi.
According to the Secretary of the Balochistan Assembly, the private company that won the tender had printed more tissue boxes than required. These excess tissue boxes were sold illegally, damaging the assembly’s reputation.
The Secretary announced that an FIR would be registered against the company responsible for printing the tissue papers and that further legal action would follow. This incident has underscored the need for stricter measures to ensure honesty and transparency within government institutions.
