Initial Chemical Report of Water Samples from Korangi Creek Fire Reveals Hazardous Chemicals

An initial chemical analysis of water samples taken from the Korangi Creek fire site has revealed concerning results. According to the report, the levels of hydrocarbons in the water were found to be below the set threshold. However, the water contains elevated levels of hazardous chemicals, including Benzene, Toluene, and Tetrachloroethane. Additionally, a slight excess of o-Xylene was also detected.

The fire in the Korangi area, which erupted eight days ago during a boring operation, continues to burn despite efforts to extinguish it. The chemical analysis raises concerns about the potential environmental and health hazards posed by the fire and its impact on the surrounding water bodies.
