Inflation Rate Continues to Rise in the Country for the Third Consecutive Week

Islamabad:The inflation rate in the country has seen a continuous increase for the third consecutive week, according to figures released by the statistics department.

The weekly basis inflation rate has risen by 0.76%, bringing the annual cumulative inflation rate to 24.36%, based on foundational data.

During the week, according to statistics, prices of 29 essential commodities increased while rates of 5 items decreased.

The prices soared during the week as chicken increased from Rs. 38.29 per kg to Rs. 412. Dry milk surged from Rs. 44.89 per 390-gram bag to Rs. 44.89, petrol by Rs. 10 per liter, eggs by Rs.
