Indian Youth Express Frustration Over Ceasefire Amid Rising Tensions with Pakistan

New Delhi:During the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the recent ceasefire has sparked significant backlash among India’s youth, with many criticizing both the Indian media and the government for their handling of the situation.

In viral videos circulating on social media, young Indians have not only accused the media of spreading false news but also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for bowing to American pressure to agree to the ceasefire.

### Accusations of Fake News and Media Manipulation

One video showed a young man revealing how the Indian media spread the false story of “capturing Islamabad,” which led to widespread belief among the public. He stated, “Mainstream media ran the false story of capturing Islamabad, which was completely fake news, and it was spread in a very dangerous manner.”

The same youth also supported **Rohit Kumar**, a senior journalist, who had earlier warned the public to stop watching television as the media was not showing the truth. “At that time, Rohit Kumar was mocked, but today, his words are proving to be true,” the young man remarked.

### Ceasefire Under US Pressure

Many of the youth voiced their opinion that the ceasefire was a direct result of **American pressure**. One young Indian questioned, “If India was really winning and our forces had already entered Pakistan, why was a ceasefire declared?” He further pointed out, “If India had declared the ceasefire on its own, it would have looked better, but since it was done under US pressure, it shows a sign of weakness.”

### Diplomatic Victory for Pakistan?

The youth also acknowledged that while the ceasefire is being portrayed as a significant diplomatic success for Pakistan, there has been no sense of relief or satisfaction among the Indian public. “In India, there is no joy or sense of accomplishment regarding the ceasefire. On the other hand, Pakistan is presenting it as a big diplomatic win,” one of them remarked.

These reactions from India’s youth highlight the growing frustration and disillusionment with both the media and the government’s handling of the current crisis. Many are questioning the narrative and wondering if the government’s decision to back down was driven more by international pressure than a strategic military advantage.
