Indian Minister Casts Doubts Over Attack on Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan

Islamabad:Maharashtra’s Ports Minister, Nitish Rane, has raised doubts regarding the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, questioning whether he was really stabbed or if it was part of an act. Rane expressed skepticism, suggesting that perhaps Saif Ali Khan was only pretending to be attacked, and questioned the authenticity of the incident.

He further added, “Earlier, we used to see Bangladeshi individuals on the streets, but now they are entering homes.” Rane speculated that the alleged Bangladeshi attacker may have attempted to abduct the actor, adding that it’s a good thing to get rid of waste. The Minister also accused opposition leaders of focusing only on attacks against Muslim actors like Khan, while remaining silent about incidents involving Hindu actors.

It should be noted that on January 16, Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife six times during a robbery attempt at his residence. Following the attack, Khan was rushed to Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital, where he underwent successful surgery.

Indian police later arrested the alleged attacker, a Bangladeshi citizen named Sharif Islam Shehzad, who had entered India illegally and was living under the fake name of Bijoy Das.

According to reports, Shehzad was presented in a Mumbai court, where his lawyer argued that no evidence was found on his client and claimed he was being falsely implicated in the case. The lawyer further contended that the charges against Shehzad were fabricated, and the case had gained significant attention because a celebrity was involved, making him the scapegoat in a high-profile case.
