India Will Face Consequences for Its Blunder: PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows Retaliation for Martyrs’ Blood

Islamabad:Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif** has issued a firm warning to India, declaring that New Delhi will be held accountable for the deadly airstrikes carried out in the darkness of night on Pakistani civilian areas. “India made a grave mistake last night, and it will have to pay the price,” he said in a televised address to the nation.

Sharif emphasized that the blood of the 31 innocent civilians martyred—including two children—will not go in vain. “Every drop of their blood will be avenged,” he asserted.

Referring to the swift and decisive response by the **Pakistan Air Force**, the Prime Minister said:

> “The world saw last night how a much larger enemy was brought to its knees within hours. The aircraft India once boasted of are now rubble and a warning to all aggressors.”

He praised the Pakistani pilots for their **professionalism and bravery**, adding:

> “Our Shaheens delivered precise strikes. This was a crushing response, echoing the legacy of heroes like Squadron Leader M.M. Alam.”

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace but warned that the country’s sovereignty is non-negotiable. He criticized India for rejecting Pakistan’s call for impartial investigation into the **Pahalgam incident**, which India used as a pretext for its aggression.

> “India’s delusion that its misadventures can distract us from the war on terror is a grave miscalculation. We will see our anti-terror campaign through to its rightful conclusion,” he said.

Sharif also reminded the international community that **Kashmir remains a disputed territory**, and true peace in South Asia is impossible without granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

During the Indian strikes, **two mosques were destroyed**, and **over 50 civilians were wounded**. In response, Pakistan’s military shot down **five Indian aircraft**, including **three Rafale jets**, **a MiG-29**, and **an SU-30**, as well as a combat drone.

The Prime Minister concluded by extending full respect to the **armed forces**, stating:

> “All 240 million Pakistanis stand united behind our military. We salute every soldier defending our skies and soil.”
