Vindar:In an unfortunate incident of dog biting in the Hindu Mohalla of Vandar, six individuals have been injured. The injured include Khatu Mall, Nikhil Kumar, Akshay Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Tara Chand, and Amrit Kumar.
The rise in stray dogs in Vandar city has caused panic among citizens. Political, social, and community circles of Vandar expressed grave concern over the increasing number of stray dogs roaming the streets, markets, and colonies of Vandar. The continuous increase in stray dogs is seen and heard barking in the alleys of Vandar, causing fear and anxiety among women, children, and the elderly.
They highlighted that incidents of dog biting are becoming frequent, leading affected individuals to purchase medicines from the private sector due to the unavailability of dog bite vaccines in government hospitals in Lashbela and Hub districts.
They demanded urgent action from the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Hub, Assistant Commissioner Vandar, Chairman Municipal Committee Vandar, Vice Chairman Municipal Committee Vandar, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Vandar, and Secretary Municipal Committee Vandar to launch a dog control campaign in Vandar immediately to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives.
