Quetta:The inaugural ceremony of the Balochistan Police online website was held today, attended by provincial ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani (Finance) and Rahila Hamid Khan Durrani (Education), Inspector General of Police Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, DIG IT Aziz Hasan, and other dignitaries. The event also marked the launch of the online complaint registration system.
Addressing the ceremony, IG Police Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh emphasized that the Balochistan Police website is not just a formality but designed for the convenience of the public. He highlighted that the website’s design has been tailored with public convenience in mind and will serve as a starting point for further enhancements.
“I hope that the police will embrace modern technology. Once we move towards modern technology, we will succeed,” said IG Police.
DIG IT Aziz Hasan underscored the website’s role in facilitating ease of access for citizens, enabling them to file complaints online. He expressed the priority of modernizing Balochistan Police along contemporary lines.
The website will also facilitate online verification of driving licenses, enhancing public service accessibility. Press releases and advertisements of suspects will also be published on the website.
The launch marks a significant step towards enhancing public interaction and service delivery by Balochistan Police, aligning with modern technological advancements for improved governance and public safety.
