Imran Khan’s Bail Hearings in May 9 Riots Cases Scheduled for Today

Lahore: The Lahore High Court is set to hear bail petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in connection with eight cases linked to the May 9 arson and rioting incidents.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Shahbaz Rizvi, will preside over the hearings. During the previous session, Imran Khan’s legal team completed their arguments, and the court has now summoned the prosecution to present its case.
The former Prime Minister is seeking bail in eight separate cases, including the attack on Jinnah House, filed in the aftermath of violent protests that erupted on May 9. These protests, reportedly sparked by Khan’s arrest, resulted in significant damage to government property.
Legal experts expect further arguments in today’s hearing, as the court continues to examine various legal aspects surrounding the cases.
