Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has summoned all seven members of the negotiation committee for a meeting at Adiala Jail. His lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, has submitted a request to the jail authorities for the meeting to take place.
The members of the negotiation committee include Leader of the Opposition, Omar Ayub; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur; Asad Qaiser; Hamid Khan; Advocate Salman Akram Raja; Allama Raja Nasir Abbas; and Hamid Raza Khan.
The meeting between Imran Khan and the negotiation committee is expected to take place today. Additionally, family members of the former Prime Minister are also anticipated to meet him at the jail.
Yesterday, Imran Khan reiterated his two major demands, issuing a deadline until Sunday for their fulfillment. He warned that if his demands were not met by then, he would announce a civil disobedience movement. Khan’s key demands include a judicial inquiry into the incidents of May 9 and November 26, as well as the immediate release of innocent PTI workers.
After a meeting with Imran Khan, his sister, Aleema Khan, stated that the former Prime Minister had emphasized these two demands, which he believes are essential for justice and the restoration of peace in the country.
