Imran Khan Challenges Transfer of Three Judges in Islamabad High Court in Supreme Court

Islamabad:PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has challenged the transfer of three judges from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Supreme Court. In his constitutional petition filed with the apex court, Khan has urged the court to ensure transparency in the context of the *Al-Jehad Trust* case.
Imran Khan, in his petition, argued that Article 200 of the Constitution can only be applied after detailed consultations, and sought the cancellation of the transfer of the three judges from the Islamabad High Court.
The petition also accused the government of targeting the judges of the Islamabad High Court as part of a campaign of retaliation, claiming that these judges had previously spoken out against judicial interference. Imran Khan claimed that these judges had handled his cases on merit, and one judge was appointed as the acting Chief Justice without taking an oath.
In his petition, Khan named the federal government, registrars of the Lahore and Islamabad High Courts as respondents and claimed that these actions were part of a concerted effort to undermine judicial independence.
Additionally, the petition also included the registrars of the Sindh and Balochistan High Courts as parties in the case.
