Lahore:The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has postponed the bail hearings of PTI founder Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until July 30.
The bail application of PTI founder was heard before arrest on six cases, and an additional bail request for Bushra Bibi was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka.
Imran Khan faces cases in police stations including Thana Turnol, Ramna, Secretariat, Kohsar, and Karachi Company, whereas Bushra Bibi has a case of fake receipts in Thana Kohsar.
There are five more cases against Imran Khan related to fake receipts dated May 9.
PTI lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry appeared in court and stated that Barrister Salman Safdar is occupied with a case in Lahore High Court. The hearing of bail applications has been postponed until next week.
Judge Afzal Majoka remarked that a quick hearing cannot be scheduled, and the hearings will be adjourned until September after the summer vacations. Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry requested for the hearings to be scheduled next week, stating that Barrister Salman Safdar has submitted evidence. Judge Afzal Majoka responded that there are enough cases scheduled for next week.
Session Judge Islamabad directed the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to ensure the presence of PTI founder Chairman Imran Khan via video link or in person to confirm his attendance.
The court has adjourned the bail hearings of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until July 30 and requested evidence for bail during the next hearings.
