Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi Sentenced to Prison in 190 Million Pounds Case

Islamabad:Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have been sentenced to prison in the 190 million pounds corruption case. Imran Khan has been given a 14-year sentence, while Bushra Bibi has been sentenced to 5 years in prison. Following the verdict, Bushra Bibi was taken into custody directly from the courtroom and transferred to Adiala Jail, specifically to the same hall where current Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was once held during PTI’s tenure.
According to media reports, Bushra Bibi was moved to the Toyota Hall in Adiala Jail after her sentencing. She was also medically examined, with the report confirming that she is in good health. On the other hand, Imran Khan, who was already incarcerated in Adiala Jail, remains in the same cell as before, following the new sentence.
Bushra Bibi was placed in the Toyota Hall after biometric verification, which is connected to the women’s ward, and where she was previously detained as well. Notably, this is the same hall where Maryam Nawaz was kept during the PTI government’s time.
Media sources also revealed that Bushra Bibi has been provided with necessary medication and essential supplies in her cell, including clothes, shoes, sheets, food items, bed sheets, pillows, and other necessities.
It is important to note that the Accountability Court has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to 14 years in prison and imposed a fine of 1 million rupees, while Bushra Bibi has been sentenced to 7 years in prison with a 500,000 rupees fine in the 190 million pounds corruption case.
