Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi Sentenced in £190 Million Corruption Case

Rawalpindi:The details of the judicial decision in the £190 million case involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been revealed. The Accountability Court has announced its reserved verdict in the case, sentencing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to 14 years in prison and his wife Bushra Bibi to 7 years for their involvement in corruption.
According to the court’s ruling, Imran Khan was convicted under Section 10-A of the NAB Ordinance, 1999. The court found him guilty of corruption and criminal misconduct. The decision stipulates that Khan should serve 14 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of 1 million rupees. In case of non-payment, an additional 6 months of imprisonment will be imposed.
The court also found Bushra Bibi guilty of aiding and abetting the crime. She was sentenced to 7 years in prison under Section 10-A of the NAB Ordinance. Bushra Bibi was also fined 500,000 rupees, and failure to pay the fine will result in an additional 3 months of imprisonment.
Furthermore, the court ordered the confiscation of the Al-Qadir Trust University, transferring it to the control of the federal government.
