Rawalpindi: The accountability court has accepted the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request for an 8-day physical remand of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, setting the next hearing for July 20. Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich conducted the proceedings at Adiala Jail where NAB’s Deputy Director Mohsin Haroon sought remand for both.
Initially, the court granted a 6-day remand, but PTI’s counsel requested an extension, leading to the court approving an 8-day remand. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi will remain in Adiala Jail during this period.
The new NAB reference alleges that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi purchased and sold jewelry from Toshakhana worth Rs. 7.5 crore.
