According to Ansar Abbasi’s report on June 5th, although the PTI founder is receiving relief from the courts, authorities have options to keep him in jail.
Authorities are waiting for the right time to initiate the second Toshakhana reference against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
Ansar Abbasi’s report was proven correct when NAB, after acquitting the PTI founders in the nikah case, formally arrested both in the new Toshakhana reference.
It is important to note that Additional Sessions Judge Azam Jauka had acquitted Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the nikah case yesterday, and this was the last case against Imran Khan in which his arrest was made. After the verdict of acquittal in the case, the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf hoped that Imran Khan would be released from jail.
