Quetta:Under the chairmanship of Ziaullah Langove, the Vice President of Balochistan, a crucial meeting was convened in Gwadar to discuss security and protest-related matters. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Hamoodul Rahman, DIG Makran Range Dr. Farhan Zahid, and other officials. Also present were IG Nasirabad Range Ayaz Baloch, DC Gwadar Sarbuland Khosa, and AC Gwadar Jawad Zahri.
A detailed briefing was provided on the overall situation in Gwadar. It was highlighted that during the operation in Gwadar, more than 20 individuals attempting to sabotage peace and security were apprehended. The authorities praised all agencies for successfully managing the situation and expressed concern over malicious elements attempting to disrupt peace in Gwadar.
It was reiterated that according to the constitution of Pakistan, readiness for dialogue is paramount, but national security cannot be compromised under any circumstances. The tribal traditions of Balochistan emphasize respect and dignity for women, and it was appealed to all protesters to uphold these values during demonstrations.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that any action challenging state authority during protests, causing damage to government property or inconvenience to the general public, will not be tolerated.
