Quetta:The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has strongly condemned the violent treatment of protesters in Quetta, including women, who were demonstrating against the alleged forced disappearance of postal worker Zahid Baloch, a resident of Quetta, as stated on the social contact website (X). Zahid Baloch was reportedly abducted by unknown individuals on June 27.
Despite continuous reports of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, the state has not shown firm determination to end such heinous acts. Instead, it has consistently resorted to violence to suppress protests against enforced disappearances, violating constitutional rights.
HRCP demands the immediate search for Zahid Baloch and accountability of those responsible for his abduction.
