Islamabad:The Human Rights Commission has strongly condemned the government’s decision to impose a ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stating that the decision is unconstitutional. The Commission expressed that the ban will yield nothing but discord.
In its issued statement, the Human Rights Commission emphasized that imposing a ban on PTI members is a violation of their constitutional rights. This decision poses a significant setback for democratic values. The statement further highlighted that the Supreme Court had already recognized PTI as a legitimate political party.
The Commission asserted that this decision will not achieve anything other than political discord.
