Highways and Motorway Police Announces Restrictions on Large Vehicles During Pakistan Day Parade

In a significant move, the National Highways and Motorway Police has announced that all large vehicles will be prohibited from entering Rawalpindi and Islamabad from 12:00 PM on March 22 to 3:00 PM on March 23 in light of the Pakistan Day Parade.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, all large vehicles will be halted at the following locations:

– Vehicles coming from Peshawar via the GT Road will be stopped at Margalla and Taxila.
– Vehicles coming from Peshawar via the motorway will be stopped at the Bhurhan Interchange.
– Vehicles coming from Lahore via the motorway will be stopped at Chakri Interchange.
– Vehicles coming from Lahore via the GT Road will be stopped at the Mandra Toll Plaza.
– Vehicles coming from Kashmir and Murree will be stopped 20 kilometers before the 17 Mile Toll Plaza.

The spokesperson advised the owners and drivers of all large vehicles to avoid traveling to Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the specified time frame (from 12:00 PM on March 22 to 3:00 PM on March 23) to avoid any inconvenience. They were also urged to ensure they stay at a safe location during this period.
