Quetta:Quetta, Balochistan – Shah Rasool Advocate, the General Secretary of the Balochistan High Court Bar, tendered his resignation from his position on Friday due to the delay in conducting the bar council elections. Addressing a press conference alongside Mir Attaullah Langove Advocate and others at the Quetta Bar Room, Shah Rasool Advocate expressed his concerns, stating that it has been nine months since the delay began. He criticized the Bar Council for using delaying tactics in conducting the elections, emphasizing that the delay is causing a loss of rights in timely elections.
Shah Rasool further stated that the delay in the elections of the Balochistan High Court Bar is a violation and obstruction of democratic processes. He accused the present Bar Council of consistently violating constitutional norms, asserting that the Balochistan Bar Council represents only one faction. He warned that if the Bar Council does not announce the elections within two days, the general body will be called into session.
