Heavy Snowfall and Power Shortages Cause Hardships in Qalat

Qalat:Following yesterday’s rainfall, Qalat city and its surrounding areas experienced light snowfall last night, further intensifying the cold weather. According to the Meteorological Department of Qalat, 10 centimeters of snow were recorded in the region. The department has also warned of continued severe cold conditions over the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the severe cold has led to a shortage of firewood, while the gas supply has been completely suspended. Residents are also facing prolonged power outages, with electricity being cut off for up to 18 hours at a stretch. The ongoing fuel shortages have left the local population struggling to cope with the harsh conditions.
