Heavy Rains Devastate Balochistan: Houses Collapse and Missing Person Feared Dead

Osta Muhammad:Like the rest of the country, Balochistan has also been severely affected by recent heavy rains. Last night, continuous downpours in Osta Muhammad caused widespread destruction. Several mud houses collapsed, and homes were inundated with up to two feet of standing water in areas including Ghandakha, Dera Allah Yar, Khanpur Jamali, Faizabad, Temboo, and Manjo Shori.

In addition, a young man from Bakhtiarabad, identified as 25-year-old Imdad Ali Domki, was swept away by a flood in the Kundi Wah area. Rescue efforts have been ongoing for twelve hours, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

Reports indicate that multiple mud houses have collapsed in various regions, with several children and women reported injured. The situation has been exacerbated by a lack of mobile phone service, which has hindered communication and response efforts. The power supply has been disrupted, and emergency services have been activated in hospitals. Further rains could potentially lead to additional damage.
