Heavy Rain and Snowfall Continue in Balochistan, 23 Injured in Traffic Accidents

Quetta:Balochistan has been experiencing continuous rainfall and snowfall for the past two days, affecting 18 districts across the province. During this period, 23 people were injured in various traffic accidents.

According to the Provincial Government’s Control Room, tourists trapped in heavy snowfall in Ziarat were rescued and transferred to a rest house. In Bolan, due to slippery roads on the N65 highway, a collision between a car and a truck resulted in 7 people being injured. Several vehicles collided on the national highways in Kan Mehtarzai, Khanozai, and Bostan due to slippery conditions. On Kojak Top of N25, a collision between vehicles left 5 people injured. Additionally, a dilapidated wall collapsed on Rahman Kohol Road, causing the death of a 10-year-old child.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted more rainfall and light snowfall on Tuesday in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, and Chaghi. Authorities have advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel due to the ongoing severe weather conditions.
