Karachi:Karachi is currently experiencing a heatwave with disrupted sea breezes despite the city’s hot and humid weather.
Meteorologist Jawad Memon has reported that temperatures are soaring up to 46 degrees Celsius in the city. Thunderclouds capable of lightning strikes may form around Karachi suburbs in the afternoon.
According to Jawad Memon, there is a slight to moderate chance of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning strikes in some parts of the city, while sea breezes are expected to resume by evening.
The meteorologist has also predicted some improvement in the weather from tomorrow onwards. Karachi may witness another spell of humidity and confinement from July 24 to 28, influenced by a monsoon system forming in the Bay of Bengal.
He added that if this system moves towards Indian Gujarat, Karachi may experience rainfall. During this period, sea breezes could once again be affected.
