Quetta:In a video message posted on the social media platform X, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has accused the Baloch Unity Committee of orchestrating a conspiracy to obstruct the visit of a global delegation to Gwadar. Bugti claimed that the group’s intention was to prevent the delegation’s arrival and disrupt ongoing developmental projects in the region.
The Chief Minister assured that the Gwadar airport will be inaugurated as planned, and the global delegation will be welcomed appropriately. He emphasized that the government will not allow any group to hinder the progress of developmental projects or obstruct state guests.
Bugti criticized the Baloch Unity Committee for choosing to hold their protest in Gwadar, where the Baloch population is relatively small compared to other areas like Khuzdar and Turbat. He suggested that the group’s real aim was to stop the international delegation and undermine government efforts in Gwadar.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s openness to negotiations with those willing to engage in dialogue but stressed that the administration would not permit any faction to assert control over Balochistan or impede its governance.
