Hania Amir’s Pet Cat Name Sparks Controversy on Social Media

Pakistani actress and model Hania Amir has gained immense popularity in recent years, especially with her hit TV dramas *”Mere Humsafar”* and *”Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum,”* which have been widely acclaimed across South Asia. These dramas not only garnered her recognition in Pakistan but also in India.

However, recent developments have added fuel to the fire regarding Hania’s presence in the Indian entertainment industry. According to reports, Hania was supposed to be cast alongside Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh in the upcoming film *”Sardar Ji 3,”* but the project was halted following the Pulwama attack. This led to increasing political tensions between India and Pakistan, resulting in the Indian government blocking Hania’s Instagram account, which means Indian fans can no longer access her posts.

In the midst of this, Hania shared a personal moment on Instagram, introducing her new pet cat, named *”Aishwarya.”* This seemingly innocent gesture quickly caused a stir on social media. While some fans found the name charming and playful, others questioned her intentions, interpreting it as an attempt to gain attention or even please Indian fans.

One user commented, *”She’s doing this just to please Indian fans,”* while another wrote, *”She’ll do anything to break into Bollywood.”* A harsher remark stated, *”She’s obsessed with India, send her across the border.”*

Despite the mixed reactions, many still view her choice of name as nothing more than a fun and lighthearted decision. However, some others have started to read into it with political or emotional overtones.

So far, Hania Amir has not responded to the backlash. However, her supporters continue to hope that she remains true to her unique style and innocence, and continues to make headlines for her work and personality.
