Hamad Azhar Resigns from PTI Positions, Announces to Continue as a Worker

Hamad Azhar, the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab and Acting President, has resigned from all party positions. In his announcement, Azhar stated that he is stepping down from all his roles in the party and will continue his struggle as an ordinary party worker.
In his statement, Hamad Azhar revealed that PTI founder Imran Khan was informed by Senator Azam Swati that Aliya Hamza was facing obstacles in her work. Upon inquiring, Azhar learned that Azam Swati had mentioned his name in this context. When he asked Aliya Hamza about the issue, she expressed surprise, stating that there were no such obstacles.
Azhar pointed out that the solution to this issue was simple, as his powers had already been transferred to four regional presidents in June 2024. He also mentioned that even the organizational structure in his own constituency had been formed without his consultation or consent.
Azhar shared that he had previously submitted his resignation twice, but it was rejected. However, this time, he emphasized that his resignation is final and non-reversible. He made it clear that while he no longer wishes to hold any party position, he will continue working as a dedicated worker for his leader.
