“Hafiz Naeem Urges Muslim Nations to Take Action Against Israel and Support Gaza, Announces Nationwide Strike on April 22”

Karachi: Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami, delivered a strong statement condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza, alleging that the ongoing genocide of Palestinians is being supported by the United States. He further criticized the silence of Islamic nations, urging them to take collective action and announce a united stance for the end of the Gaza blockade. According to Naeem, this could bring an immediate halt to the violence.
Addressing a rally in Karachi in solidarity with Palestine, Naeem highlighted the immense suffering in Gaza, stating that over 60,000 people have been killed, the majority of whom are women and children. He also criticized the role of the United Nations, claiming that the organization has failed to take effective action, and accusing the UN Charter of being disregarded by powerful nations.
Naeem also questioned why Pakistani political parties, including the opposition (PTI), have not raised their voices against Israel and the United States. He compared the situation to the past when former Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan refused to recognize Israel, choosing national integrity over foreign pressure. “Just like Liaquat Ali Khan stood firm, current political leaders must rise against Israel and the US,” Naeem emphasized.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader suggested that if Muslim nations unite and show political and military solidarity, they would have the power to halt the violence in Gaza. He emphasized that Muslim nations possess sufficient resources and military might, including nuclear weapons and advanced missile technology, to pressure Israel into ceasing its attacks on Palestinian civilians.
Naeem also urged the Pakistani government to officially declare a boycott of Israeli products to show solidarity with Palestine, suggesting that this could provide relief to the Palestinians. He pointed out the growing support for Hamas in the international community, including 50% of American voters who now back the Palestinian resistance.
Highlighting the need for a unified Islamic response, Naeem called on political leaders to clarify their positions on the Gaza issue. He criticized certain political parties for opposing the call for jihad and boycotting Israeli products. “The strength of Israel’s economy is built on its trade with us. If we stop this, we can hurt their war machine,” Naeem argued.
Looking ahead, Naeem outlined a series of actions, including a children’s march and major rallies in different cities. He announced a nationwide strike on April 22, to show solidarity with Gaza, a call he said had been endorsed by Palestinian leadership. On this day, all businesses across Pakistan will shut down as a sign of unity with the Palestinian cause.
In closing, Naeem called for a meeting of Pakistan’s political and military leadership to form a comprehensive policy on Gaza and develop strategies to break the ongoing siege. He declared that Karachi would lead the global movement against the “puppets of America,” and vowed to achieve success in the struggle for justice for Palestinians.
