Gwadar:The National Party’s central secretary, Senator Jan Mohammad Buledi, has strongly condemned the obstruction of peaceful political protests in Gwadar, Balochistan. He emphasized the fundamental right to peaceful assembly as guaranteed by constitutional and legal provisions, urging an end to any efforts aimed at disrupting such gatherings.
In a statement issued on behalf of the party, Buledi asserted that every individual has the right to peacefully protest for their political demands. He called upon the government of Balochistan and its administrative authorities, especially in Gwadar, to refrain from imposing any obstacles and instead allow the public the freedom to peacefully record their protests where deemed appropriate.
The National Party and its leadership fully support the political, economic, and national rights of the people of Balochistan, advocating for governance under democracy and the supremacy of law. Buledi highlighted the serious issue of missing persons in Balochistan, criticizing federal and provincial governments for their inadequate response to the grave problem. He underscored the necessity for a political resolution rather than resorting to coercive measures, which he warned could exacerbate the situation further.
Buledi concluded by urging a cessation of actions that impede the peaceful return of missing persons, calling on the leadership of the Baloch Unity Committee to maintain peace and record their protests in a peaceful and democratic manner.
