Gwadar Electricity Crisis Prompts Multi-Party Meeting to Form Crisis Committee
Gawadar:In response to the ongoing electricity crisis in Gwadar, a crucial meeting was convened at the District Secretariat of Gwadar by Gwadar Soul Society, attended by representatives from various political parties and stakeholders. Participants included the Chairman of the Municipality, Hak Do Movement, Traders Association, BNP Mengal, PTI, People’s Youth Wing, and traders from Jinnah Bazaar.
The meeting resulted in a unanimous decision to form a committee tasked with immediately resolving the current electricity crisis. This committee will meet with the Deputy Commissioner and KESCO officials on Monday to devise practical solutions. Failure to alleviate the current situation may lead the Gwadar Soul Society and allied parties to adopt stringent measures.
Names for committee membership will be consulted with allied party members to ensure representation and effectiveness. Additionally, it was agreed that in the event of prolonged load shedding in the future, DC Gwadar and EXN will promptly publish Iranian notifications on social media for public awareness.
Notable attendees included Mohammad Jan, Chairman of Gwadar Soul Society; Sharif Miandad, Chairman of Gwadar Municipality; Tariq Rind, central leader of BNP Mengal; Molabakhsh Mujahid and Mustafa from PTI; Haji Ghulam Hussain Dashti from Traders Association; Majid Baloch from Jinnah Bazaar Traders Association; Osman Kalmati from PML-N; Muhammad Bizenjo and Fazal Mahmood from PPP; Saadique Khan from PPP Youth; Bashir Hoot from Hak Do Movement; Master Abdul Majid from JI; and Shakil from Gwadar Soul Society’s Executive Body, along with Vice Chairman Zubair Hasil and Information Secretary Mohammad Arif, among others.
