Quetta:Secretary Transport Balochistan, Hayatullah Kakaar, announced that the government has approved the purchase of nine green buses as part of the current fiscal year’s budget. He confirmed that the summary for the acquisition was sent to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, who has given the go-ahead for the purchase. The Transport Department will soon initiate the tender process for these buses.
In a special interview with a private TV channel, Kakaar elaborated that five of the buses will be operational in Quetta, while four will be deployed in Turbat. The new buses in Quetta will run on new routes, adding to the existing fleet of ten green buses already serving the city. This initiative aims to improve public transportation and provide a more eco-friendly option for commuters in the region.
