Governor of Balochistan Calls for Modernization of NADRA Services and Increased Accessibility
Quetta:In a recent briefing at the Governor House Quetta, Governor of Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, instructed NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) officials to leverage modern scientific advancements and new information technology to streamline and improve their current procedures. He emphasized the need for NADRA offices in major cities to operate in double shifts and for the deployment of additional mobile vans to remote districts to enhance service delivery.
The briefing, attended by NADRA Director General Kashif Iqbal and Principal Secretary to the Governor Balochistan, Hashim Khan Gulzai, highlighted the Governor’s vision of providing better services at the doorstep of the public. Governor Mandokhel acknowledged the introduction of the online application system by NADRA as a significant initiative aimed at facilitating easier access to essential documents for the public, reducing the need for travel to NADRA offices for people in remote areas.
He stressed that by utilizing new information technology, NADRA can significantly reduce the congestion at its offices and improve service efficiency. The Governor urged all Deputy Commissioners, local representatives, media personnel, and civil society members to raise awareness about the importance of timely issuance of birth certificates and other essential documents at the union council level. This effort is crucial for ensuring accurate registration and issuance of necessary IDs and certificates.
Governor Mandokhel emphasized that NADRA’s new user-friendly measures are designed to make access to critical documents easier for the public. He called on every informed individual in society to cooperate fully and seek modern solutions to address prevailing issues.
