Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi Meets Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi
PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss various issues including the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Minister Naqvi emphasized that the only option in the war against terrorism is victory, to be achieved through national unity and consensus.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi highlighted ongoing efforts for peace and security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where law enforcement agencies including the FC, CTD, and police are being equipped with modern technology and weaponry for frontline operations against terrorism.
Furthermore, Minister Naqvi praised the bravery of KP police, FC, and CTD personnel, stating that their courage has been pivotal in the fight against terrorism. He reiterated that defeating this menace is achievable through national unity and collective effort.
In a separate context, on the International Day Against Human Trafficking, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi underscored the global necessity to stand against heinous crimes like human smuggling. He pointed out that unemployment, poverty, and unequal distribution of wealth contribute to the rise in human trafficking, posing the greatest challenge to developing nations.
Naqvi asserted that organized gangs are actively engaged in human smuggling in Pakistan, with the FIA constantly vigilant and multiple culprits apprehended under the law. He emphasized the urgent need for concerted global action against human smuggling and urged developed and developing countries to collaborate in combating this grave crime.
Minister Naqvi stressed that human smuggling violates human rights, dignity, and freedom explicitly. He called for collective awareness and measures to address the root causes of human smuggling, advocating for societies where exploitation of individuals through human smuggling is eradicated.
