Governor Balochistan Calls for Collaborative Efforts to Ensure Peace and Stability in the Province

Quetta:Governor of Balochistan, Jamal Khan Mandokhel, emphasized the urgent need to address the current sensitive situation with seriousness and to move towards sustainable solutions. He stressed that only a peaceful society can achieve true development and prosperity.

During a meeting with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moazzam Jaan Ansari, the Governor discussed the increased responsibilities of the government in light of the tense situation in the region. He highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and security across the province, especially for the protection of traders and jewelers in Quetta. The meeting was attended by Special Secretary of the Home Department Abdul Nasir Dhotani, DIG Atta Zaz Gorya, and Principal Secretary to the Governor of Balochistan Hashim Khan Gulzai.

Governor Mandokhel stated that crime and terrorism are two distinct issues that require different approaches to tackle. He stressed that effective policing is essential for achieving a peaceful Balochistan, and this can only be accomplished with the full cooperation of the public.

He also acknowledged the key role of national highways in the country’s development and highlighted their importance for the movement of people, transport, passengers, and patients. He emphasized that these highways must remain open to ensure smooth movement for all.

Mandokhel called on political leaders, civil society, and media professionals to play their part in promoting a peaceful Balochistan for the greater good of society. He concluded by stating that through cooperation between the government and the public, a more peaceful and prosperous Balochistan can be created, where every citizen has the opportunity to achieve progress and success.
