Government to Train 3 Lakh Children Annually in ICT Skills: Shaza Fatima Khawaja

Islamabad:Minister of State for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced that the government plans to provide ICT training to 3 lakh children annually in Islamabad.

While addressing the launch event of the ICT Training Portal, Shaza Fatima emphasized the growing importance of Information Technology (IT) in the modern world. She highlighted that the government has already initiated training programs for millions of students, aiming to empower them with essential IT skills.

Shaza Fatima further revealed that over 5,000 trainers have already completed their training under the government’s initiative, ensuring the effective delivery of courses.

The Minister also pointed out that Pakistan has more than 150 million young individuals under the age of 30, and to strengthen the economy, it is crucial to equip these young people with the necessary skills and training.

The government’s emphasis on ICT training is a step toward ensuring that the youth are prepared to meet the demands of a technology-driven world, contributing to the country’s economic growth and development.
