Government of Sindh and Punjab Declare Public Holiday on February 5 for Kashmir Solidarity Day

LAHORE:The Governments of Sindh and Punjab have announced a public holiday on February 5, 2025, in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day. The day is observed to express support and solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

Following Sindh’s announcement, the Punjab government confirmed that all offices and institutions in the province will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5. According to the notification issued by the government, the public holiday will mark the country’s continued stand in support of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and their ongoing struggle for freedom.

On this day, various activities and events will be organized across Pakistan to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue and show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
