Government of Balochistan Starts Free Cancer Treatment for Patients
Cancer patients now receive free injections worth up to 1.3 million rupees
Quetta: The government of Balochistan has launched a free cancer treatment program for patients, providing them with crucial medical support. The Bolan Medical College Cancer Ward has been made operational, offering free cancer injections worth up to 1.3 million rupees.
Patients and their families have expressed their gratitude to Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sardarfaz Buggti, and Provincial Health Minister, Bakht Mohammad Kakr, for this significant initiative. Many have praised the government for being the first in the province to offer expensive cancer medications free of charge.
Spokesperson for the provincial government, Shahid Rand, stated that efforts are underway to ensure better care and treatment for cancer patients. He also highlighted that the construction of a dedicated cancer hospital in the province is ongoing.
Chief Minister Mir Sardarfaz Buggti has reaffirmed his commitment to bringing reforms to the health department and ensuring access to quality healthcare for all citizens, regardless of their economic status. He added that the benefits of these reforms would reach every ordinary citizen in the province.
