Islamabad:Efforts by the government and military leadership to curb electricity theft are yielding visible results in revitalizing the national economy and alleviating the public from power crises. During the rigorous crackdown on electricity thieves, the country has recovered over PKR 105 billion and apprehended more than 83,000 offenders.
According to statistics from concerned authorities, between June 30 to July 1, substantial amounts were recovered from electricity thieves in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad, totaling over PKR 63 billion. Additionally, recoveries from Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta amounted to PKR 43 billion.
Authorities across the nation are steadfast in their commitment to continue operations until complete eradication of electricity theft is achieved.
