Good News for Pakistanis Seeking to Travel to the US: Visa Appointment Wait Times Cut in Half

Islamabad: The US Embassy has significantly reduced the waiting time for visa interviews for Pakistani citizens. According to sources at the embassy, the wait time for visa appointments has been cut from 440 days to 230 days. In addition, extra staff has been deployed to expedite the visa issuance process.
The reduction in wait times applies to tourist, student, and business visas. First-time visa applicants, particularly students, are being given priority.
Sources also revealed that daily, 10,000 visas are being processed in Islamabad and Karachi. Last year, a record number of Pakistani citizens were issued US visas.
