Islamabad:A significant relief has arrived for the employees of Moonal Restaurant, who are facing job losses due to the restaurant’s closure. Gourmet Pakistan has extended a job offer to all affected employees.
Ahmed Sardar from Gourmet Pakistan announced on social media that all Moonal employees, who are expected to lose their jobs next month due to the restaurant’s closure, can contact them for employment opportunities. Sardar shared his email and contact number, encouraging all displaced workers to apply through email. Gourmet Pakistan has committed to offering job placements or arranging suitable employment for the unemployed.
This development follows the Supreme Court’s order to close all restaurants operating within the Margalla Hills National Park, including Moonal. The management of Moonal Restaurant recently announced on social media that the restaurant would be fully closed by September 11, 2024.
In response, Moonal Restaurant owner, Luqman Ali Afzal, wrote an emotional letter to his employees, advising them to collect their dues and begin seeking alternative employment. The letter has reached the employees, and a viral video on social media shows the workers holding the letter and visibly distressed.
In the heartfelt letter, Luqman Ali Afzal expressed his deep regret over the resulting unemployment, economic hardship, and despair, acknowledging the severe impact of the closure. He stated, “I deeply feel the pain of job losses and economic instability caused by this closure. If it were within my power, I would have arranged for immediate employment for all of you. However, given the current economic conditions, providing alternative employment within our group’s other projects for 700 people is impossible.”
Afzal urged the employees to consider the closure as a decision of fate and start searching for new job opportunities while ensuring they collect all their pending dues before the set deadline.
