Gold Prices Decline for Third Consecutive Day
Karachi: The price of gold in the country has witnessed a significant decline for the third consecutive day, with a reduction of 1,700 rupees per tola today. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the new price for gold per tola has now reached 283,000 rupees.
Reports indicate that the price of 10 grams of gold has also dropped by 1,457 rupees, bringing it down to 242,627 rupees. The association noted that the decrease in gold prices is largely attributed to a drop in the international market, where gold is now priced at 2,735 dollars per ounce, down by 17 dollars.
It’s important to note that yesterday also saw a significant drop in gold prices, with a decline of 2,500 rupees, resulting in the 24-carat gold per tola being sold at 284,700 rupees.
The All Sindh Saraf Jewelers Association reported that the price for 10 grams of 24-carat gold has fallen by 2,144 rupees, now standing at 246,228 rupees. Additionally, the rates for 10 grams of 22-carat gold have been recorded at 223,744 rupees.
In related news, the price of silver has also decreased, with a drop of 20 rupees, bringing it to 3,430 rupees per tola, while the price for 10 grams of silver has decreased by 17 rupees to 2,940 rupees.
