Quetta: The Girl Guides Association of Balochistan, under the leadership of President Begum Azmat Hassan Baloch, Commissioner Miss Ashrat Alayani, eminent lawyer Ms. Taiba Kakar, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Women Rights Association Ms. Sadiya Atif, Vice President Ms. Samina Bukhari, Faiyza Shams, Jameela, and Sumbal Khokhar, alongside Program Secretary Khawthar Rashid, conducted informative sessions on cybercrime and harassment awareness for students from various schools and colleges.
During these sessions, it was emphasized that while laws against harassment exist and formal offices are in place, there is a critical need to enhance awareness among women about their rights under these laws. Participants highlighted the necessity of such sessions, asserting that they empower women to be self-reliant and resilient, thereby paving the way for their advancement and progress.
The organizers stressed the importance of ongoing efforts to educate and inform young women about cybercrime, harassment, and their legal protections. They reaffirmed their commitment to creating a society where women are knowledgeable about their rights and capable of navigating challenges with confidence and determination.
